Whale Shark The Worlds Biggest Fish

The whale shark is found in tropical and warm oceans and lives in the open sea with a lifespan of about 70 years.The whale shark, Rhincodon typus, is a slow-moving filter feeding shark and the largest extant fish species.

The largest confirmed individual had a length of 12.65 metres (41.50 ft) and a weight of more than 21.5 tonnes (47,000 lb)

The whale shark is a filter feeder – one of only three known filter feeding shark species (along with the basking shark and the megamouth shark). It feeds on macro-algae, plankton, krill, Christmas Island red crab larvae,^[11] and small nektonic life such as small squid or vertebrates.

The Worlds First Underwater Sculpture Park

The World’s First Underwater Sculpture Park. In the Gulf Molinere on the west coast of Grenada is the world’s first underwater sculpture park in which there are 65 breathtaking masterpieces created by an underwater photographer, sculptor and an active campaigner for the preservation of nature by Jason de Keyresom Taylor. Working with marine biologists and the American company to create artificial reefs, Taylor brings forth an amazing installations that function as artificial reefs, which help maintain the life of rare species of marine organisms.
Taylor recently completed the installation of his latest project, entitled “Silent Evolution” on the coast of Cancun.
